Is the UW Income part of Total Net Income talking about UW Income Gross or Net of Reins? Seems to be talking about Gross, but then why is the total called Total NET Income?

The Underwriting Income in the Statement of Income is net of reinsurance. Have a look at this Liberty Mutual statement:
